It’s a bit of a whirl on the day, so remembering verbal instructions is difficult. The info sheet was helpful but the ward nurses were really helpful and it was good to be readily able to speak to them.

 

My assigned nurse explained post op medication & I also received literature.

 

All aftercare was explained well.

Mr. Andrews could not have been more helpful, explaining what had happened during the surgery and therefore the need for an unexpected overnight stay. At the follow up meeting he was very clear what needed to happen in the future.

He made me feel very supported and certainly very much better after the surgery had been completed.

 

Mr Andrews was very efficient, explained everything very well and was reassuring.

The procedure went very smoothly and was far less painful than I expected.

The double inguinal hernia procedure I underwent was completed within 1 day and I was able to undertake some normal activities by the end of 3 weeks. Full recovery took about 6 weeks. I am completely satisfied with the service and professionalism provided by Surgicare.

 

Overall, the whole process was better than I expected. Stuart Andrews was friendly, approachable and understanding, explained the process and procedure, and my different options, and I feel great with the outcome. I would definitely recommend  anyone in a similar situation, and would like to thank him for everything he's done.
